Thomas embodies the perfect balance of Brittany origins and Parisian influence in the curious traveler.
Good food, books and strong coffee are the basis of his diet, and he brought his gently snobbish vibe and his love for opera to Toronto where he now teaches Philosophy and works on his PhD.
Best place in the world
Ouessant Island, in Brittany, or anywhere with a good book.
Ile d'Ouessant, 29242 Ouessant, France.
Best place to eat
The best chefs in the world are my friends Juan And Luc in Berlin... But when they don't invite me, I like le Dindon en Laisse in Paris.
Le dindon en laisse, 18 Rue Beautreillis, 75004 Paris, France.
Best place to drink
I like the terrasse of the Louis Philippe in Paris
Café Louis Philippe, 66 Quai de l'Hôtel de ville, 75004 Paris, France.
Best place to dream
In a train in Italy (I hate airports). Or anywhere with a good book.
Best place to work
I love working in a coffee place, but give me a pen and a paper and I can work anywhere.
Best place to breathe
On a boat in the middle of a lake/the ocean.
Best place to be inspired
I love dance and operas, it's a magic time, out of the reality, where emotions are what matter the most.
Also, a cinema. I especially like the Filmothèque du quartier Latin in Paris for their retrospectives.
The Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center, 30 Lincoln Center Plaza, New York, NY 10023, USA.
Opéra Garnier, 8 Rue Scribe, 75009 Paris, France.
Filmothèque du quartier latin, 9 Rue Champollion, 75005 Paris, France.
Best place to love
in his arms.
